Our School Values – STARS

Here at Lawley Village Primary Academy, our key values are represented through STARS:

• Socially Responsible

Each STAR reflects a range of important character traits. Our aim is for every child to develop and demonstrate qualities from all five STARS, helping them to grow into confident, caring and well‑rounded individuals.

To support this, we have introduced five characters, each linked to one of our values:

These characters help children make meaningful connections with each value and encourage them to aspire to be true STARS in everyday school life.

Celebrating Our STARS

Through high quality teaching and learning tailored to individual needs, we support pupils in developing these values. At the end of each half term, class teachers select a STAR Champion for each STAR. Children receive a special coloured star pin badge to recognise their achievement.

Our aim is for every child to collect all five STAR badges by the time they leave us in Year 6.

In addition, weekly Star of the Week certificates are awarded to pupils who have demonstrated STARS qualities during that week alongside a STAR reader certificate.
